My Grace-Full Life

A Prayer for 9.9.22

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:4-7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Heavenly Father, This beautiful explanation of love is so simple, yet we often find it difficult. Please help us to love well. Help us to love with patience and kindness. Help us to love without envy or pride. Help us to love with selfless hearts that seek to encourage and build up others, while being bold enough to speak truth and embrace the morality You set before us in Your law — loving Your first and others second. Help us to love like Jesus and know our hope is in Him. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
