First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. (1 Timothy 2:1-2 ESV)
Dear Holy Spirit, It is more apparent than ever that we are in desperate need of You. Our nation — our world — must turn back to You. We’ve rejected Your Holy standards and Your best plan for us and we are reaping the consequences of those foolish decisions. Today, I pray for our country, our leaders, and our government. Give them wisdom to seek what is good and what is right. I pray that You will show mercy to us and that You will spark a revival throughout our country and the world. I pray for hearts to turn to You and call on the name of Jesus! Lord, please help us. We desperately need You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
