While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease. (Genesis 8:22 NKJV)
Good morning, God, and thank You for the gift of rest. Thank You too for the consistency of seasons. As we watch the summer fade into fall, we’re reminded of Your consistency. You always come through. You set the seasons and as You said after the flood, “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.” We are bearing witness to Your promises and it reminds us that You are faithful. Thank You, God, for being the one, true, living God who keeps promises and loves us dearly. Please give us wisdom to see Your hand at work in our lives today. Help us to understand that in all things — You should be honored and glorified for the magnificent God and creator You are. In the Holy Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
