My Grace-Full Life

A Prayer for 9.24.20

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV)

Dear Holy Spirit, Sometimes it gets so frustrating. We start the day off well, committed to honoring Jesus, and then — before we’re finished with our coffee, we’ve done, said, or even thought something stupid or un-Christlike. We are imperfect people who try to be perfect. But perfection isn’t meant to be through us. It’s a reminder that we must stop being dependent on our own strength and lean on Yours. Only through You can we be strong. And only through You can the light of Jesus shine in our lives. Please help us and equip us today according to Your will. Mold us and make us more like Jesus. Push our weakness out of the way so that Your strength can be magnified. In the Holy Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
