My Grace-Full Life

A Prayer for 8.25.20

Yesterday’s prayer missed it’s scheduled post time! My apologies for the inconvenience! If you would like to read yesterday’s prayer, please click here.

For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. (Romans 14:8 ESV)

Father God, in 1 Corinthians 6:20, we are reminded that we were bought with a price. That price was paid by Your Son, Jesus Christ, with His own blood. He paid the price for our sins, knowing it was a debt we could never pay ourselves. We also know from Genesis 2:7 that the very breath we breathe is from You — You have breathed Your breath into our lungs. Therefore, we are Yours. May we remember this truth today. That as we live today and every day, we are to live for You because we belong to You. In every word we speak and in every action — may we reflect that we belong to You, Lord. Please, let the world see firsthand — we may be IN the world, but we are not OF the world. May others see Jesus living inside of us. Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the life You have given us now, and the eternal life we have with You through Your Son, Jesus. In His Holy Name, we pray, Amen.
