For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. (Romans 1:19-20 ESV)
Dear God, You have made Yourself known in countless ways. But, so many in our world deny You, ignoring the obvious splendor that is clearly created by Your hand — and we know that You made the world, not just because Your Holy Word says so, but because every created thing must have a Creator. To ignore Your role in the creation is to ignore or diminish Your almighty power. As we yearn for revival in the world and our country, it starts with understanding that our intelligent life on earth starts with an Intelligent Designer. Thank You, God, for being that designer. Thank You that we can see evidence of Your invisible attributes in the glorious creativity of Your world. I ask You to guide us and never take for granted the wonder of the world. When we get overwhelmed by the ugly mess we have made, may we ponder the beauty that comes from Your hands. Father, I ask You to touch hearts and minds. Open eyes that are blind. Help those who have denied You and Your greatness to see the magnificence of who You are, and most of all, may they begin to know and understand all You have done in order to give us the opportunity for eternal life. Please help people to seek You with their hearts, knowing that You have promised to be found. Thank You for being our God and Creator. In Jesus’ name, we pray and trust, Amen.
