My Grace-Full Life

A Prayer for 4.20.21

Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake;and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. (1 Kings 19:11-12 NKJV)

Dear God, Thank You for the power of Your still, small voice.  We assume that because You’re the Almighty and all-powerful God, everything You do must be done with lightening bolts and thunder.  But You specialize in minute details.  Please give us eyes to see You and Your hand in the little things around us that are covered in Your fingerprints.  Give us wisdom to lean in and listen when You speak.  Thank You for the power of Your hand and the power of Your voice — both great works and small whispers.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
