Good morning, Jesus. You said, “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself” (John 12:32). And this is the central truth of the gospel. You were lifted up on a cross and crucified for our sins so that we could come to You for forgiveness… then, because you are the Son of God, You rose from the dead and defeated death so that through Your grace and mercy, we can have eternal life. As we study You, help us not be distracted from anything that detracts from this truth. Help us to remember that while the Christian walk isn’t always easy, You have made it simple. Help us avoid the trappings of man-made rules and focus on Your Word and Your Truth. In Your Name, Amen.
