Dear Lord Jesus, Help us to remember that pain is a consequence of a sinful world. It’s a part of life and whether we experience pain because of our choices or because of the fallen world in which we live, we don’t have to like it. But we know that You can use our painful experiences to bring us closer to You. And for that purpose, it’s worth it. But all the pain and suffering we experience in the here and now is nothing compared to the eternal joy we have to look forward to when we are in Your presence. So help us be people of perspective. These pains and hardships are temporary. You, Lord Jesus, are eternal. And because of Your painful and agonizing death, and Your resurrection and victory over the grave, we can be with You forever when we put our trust in You. Thank You, Jesus.
