My Grace-Full Life

A Prayer for 2.17.21

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. (James 5:13 NKJV)

Dear Jesus, It’s so easy for us to get wrapped up in our own world and our own bubbles. The world tells us that we should pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and figure it out. But the problem is — we can’t. We are stuck in a cycle of our own misery and self-pity. Your Word says to lean on You. We aren’t enough — but You are. So whatever circumstances we face — whether by the actions of others, circumstances beyond our control, or even situations of our own doing…. Help us to come to You in prayer and praise.  Help us to trust that there is no burden too heavy for You to carry. And help us to be an encouragement to our brothers and sisters in Christ. In Your Holy Name, Amen.
