My Grace-Full Life

A Prayer for 12.8.20

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. (Luke 6:38 NKJV)

Dear Lord Jesus, You commanded us to be generous. And we know that motives matter when it comes to our willingness to obey. So help us to remember that being generous with our resources, including our time, talents, and money, is simply an opportunity to be a reflection of Your goodness.  Help us to remember too to be generous givers of love, compassion, care, empathy, and kindness.  Thank You for the opportunities to share what You have provided.  Help us to be willing — not self-serving — in our generosity.  Help us to remember this truth from Acts 20:35. — It is better to give than to receive.  In Your Holy Name, Amen.
