Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up. (1 Corinthians 13:4 NKJV)
Dear Heavenly Father, We throw the word “love” around, but sometimes, we’re too cavalier with it. We take it for granted or don’t demonstrate it as we should. Help us to look to You as the perfect model of love. The Bible tells us that you ARE love (1 John 4:16). Help us to love others as you do. Even our enemies. Help us to have loving, compassionate hearts that look at others the way Jesus sees them. Please equip us to love with patience, kindness, without envy or self-importance, and in a way that demonstrates humility. I pray in the matchless name of Jesus, Amen.
