My Grace-Full Life

A Prayer for 11.17.20

Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you. (1 Samuel 12:23a NKJV)

Dear Heavenly Father, We know from James 5:16 that we are called to pray for one another. And from the prophet Samuel, we know that failure to do so is a sin.  Prayerlessness is not an option for those who have trusted in Jesus.  Please remind our hearts to pray for one another.  Please put burdens on our hearts for those who need prayer.  Please, Lord, forgive us for the times when we fail to pray, and remind us often that You have invited us to pray without ceasing.  And above all, when we pray — whether for ourselves or for others — help us to remember to pray for Your will above our own.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
