Holy Spirit, We are in a very real spiritual battle. We need to be prepared for the attacks of our enemy. From the armor of God and the sword of the Spirit — we know we need to be equipped with Your strength, not ours. We can’t win with ours. But just as Paul reminded Timothy that good soldiers focus on doing their job to please the one who enlisted them, so we need to do the same. Please help us to focus on Who we serve and what we have been called to do; do not let us be distracted by the things of the world, but help us keep our eyes on Jesus. In His Name, Amen.
