Dear Jesus, the line was drawn from the beginning. Life vs. death. And You are the author of life. You are the One who offers us eternal life. Please help us to stay focused on the life You offer and help show others what they too can have in You. I ask You to protect us and our loved ones from the enemy who seeks to destroy us. Help us to be mindful of his attempts to sabotage and deceive. May we see his lies for what they are — and may we choose Your path in all situations.
And I feel led to pray for our country too today. We see the results of our nation’s refusal to honor You. And the enemy is having a heyday creating chaos and discord. As we watch America continue to be divided, please help us return to You as a nation. Please guide our leaders and may You speak to their hearts. Be with every voter. Remind hearts that this isn’t a popularity contest between flawed men, but matters of policy, and those policies should be evaluated not through the wisdom of man, but by the very guidelines You gave in Your Holy Word.
Thank You, Lord Jesus that no matter who wins this election, You are King of kings and You are on the throne.
