Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’” (Matthew 22:37 NKJV)
Dear Holy Spirit, God is worthy of all my love and devotion and obedience. Even though I know all of this to be true, and even though I know that loving God is the greatest commandment, I often fail. Please equip me to love God above all. When my selfish side wants to pursue my will and my way, help me to choose obedience. Help me to choose God’s will and God’s way. Help me to remember that my Creator knows better than I do and that He is worthy; I am not. Please help me to boldly live this greatest of commandments. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
