Dear Heavenly Father, To the nation of Israel, You once said, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” I know You are still in the business of turning stony hearts into tender hearts of flesh. You are still turning hate into love. You are still turning insensitivity into compassion. You can also turn unbelief into faith and for anyone who calls on You, You can turn the filthiest, most sin-stained heart into something pure and good. You, in Your mercy and goodness, are still working miracles in the lives of people around the world. And I pray today that You will keep doing what You do best — being God. Keep being the One True Living God who speaks only in truth and makes promises He keeps. And that You will keep hearing the prayers of Your children — the ones who are lifted up around the globe to praise You, express needs, and ask for Your will to be done in all situations. Please, Father, as we interact with angry, bitter hearts that are as hard as rocks, please equip us to demonstrate the transformative power of You and show others the joy that comes from living with a heart of flesh that has been gently shaped and molded by Your loving hands.
