My Grace-Full Life

A Prayer for 1.25.23

So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “This is the bread which the Lord has given you to eat. This is the thing which the Lord has commanded: ‘Let every man gather it according to each one’s need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.’” (Exodus‬ ‭16‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Lord God, When You provided manna for the Israelites, it was a lesson in dependence on You and trust in Your promises. You are still providing, but like the Israelites in the wilderness, we often think it’s not enough. We complain about the blessings You give because we don’t recognize what You’re doing. Forgive us, Lord, and fill us with grateful hearts. Help us to be dependent on You and see Your gifts and blessings with thankfulness and gladness. Because the truth is — even if everything we have is taken away, if we have You, we have everything! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
