Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:23-24 NKJV)
Dear Jesus, When You met with the father of a demon-possessed son, You told him that all things are possible to those who believe in You. Your followers know this to be true. We believe it. Yet, sometimes doubts and worries come. Unwanted doubts that we know don’t belong in our lives and we fret about the unknown… We need You — the author of faith — to write faith on our hearts so we can be free of doubt, fear, and worry. When Your people, like the desperate father, cry out to You, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!,” help us to believe. Remove all barriers that get in the way of our belief in Your abilities because nothing is impossible for You. In Your Name, Amen.
