My Grace-Full Life

9.5.17 Prayer Prompt: God's Creation

PRAYER PROMPT ••• My friend and her new husband just got home from their honeymoon at the beach.
While they were there, they were able to be a part of the excitement of new baby turtles preparing to hatch.
It’s amazing how a turtle can lay her eggs in the sand, and when they hatch, the turtles instinctively know to swim for the ocean.
It’s all a part of God’s design!
It’s easy for us to look at animals and see their patterns, their habits, and while we may not understand what they do, we can identify what behaviors are instinctive.
They just know.
We have instincts too and every person can see the glory of God!
Whether they give credit to Him is another matter.
Psalm 19:1 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.”
He reveals Himself to us in such majestic ways, yet people often ignore them or explain them away.
We want to know how the turtles know to waddle out to the sea or how beavers instinctively know how to build a dam.
We want to know all the how’s and why’s of everything around us, without remembering the matter of faith.
That God made everything and His design is perfect.
His creativity knows no boundaries and He knows the reasons for everything He made and why He made them the way He did!
It’s okay to be curious.
It’s okay to ask questions.
But at some point, isn’t it better to just sit back in awe and appreciate His work?
When you go to a museum, you don’t question every single brushstroke of the artist.
You simply sit back and admire the finished product!
The same is true for our world and the glory that God shows us every day!
Today, as you pray, thank God for showing Himself to you every day.
Ask Him to help you remember to accept His ways on faith, without question, because You trust in His perfect design and His perfect plan.
