PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• Though I didn’t personally know anyone who died on 9/11, like so many Americans, it had a profound effect on me.
Seventeen years have passed but I will never forget that moment, that day that changed America.
But the hope of Christ was there then, and it’s here now.
Every day, people face new loss and new heartache, and Jesus is here to offer peace and comfort.
He said, in this world, we WILL have trouble, but to be encouraged because He has overcome the world (John 16:33).
In Him alone, can we find hope, comfort, assurance, salvation, and the promise of eternal life…
No matter what heartache and tragedy in which we find ourselves yesterday, today, or tomorrow.
Great is His faithfulness, always and forever.
Today, as you pray, remember those who still mourn loved ones lost on 9/11.
Ask the Holy Spirit to give them the perfect peace that goes beyond human comprehension.
And ask Him to stir in American hearts a revival and sense of unity…
The unity we felt in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on American soil, but that has been so quickly forgotten…
May we never forget those who died because of evil and hate and may we remember the words of Abraham Lincoln, based on Jesus’ words in Matthew 12:25… “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”
We are a country founded on Christian principles, whose rally cry for generations has been, “God bless America!”
And yet, our country has abandoned God and removed Him…
And the result is this discord and divisiveness.
9/11 woke us up, and I pray that the Holy Spirit will use memories of today’s history to remind us of what we need most — Jesus.
On 9/11, let us never forget…
