PRAYER PROMPT ••• Last night, I couldn’t sleep.
I prayed for a bit, but felt restless so I got up to catch up on a Bible study I’ve been doing.
The prayer at the end of one lesson brought me to tears.
It spoke of how sometimes, it’s hard to see God working; sometimes, He seems to be silent when we desperately want to hear from Him.
It was a prayer-theme I’ve prayed quite often recently and needed to hear in that moment.
Our Heavenly Father doesn’t always move in big, grand, sweeping gestures.
Obviously, He’s capable of such, but for lack of a better way to put it, God is a “details guy.”
He often works in small, minuscule ways but his efforts always have profound results.
After all, even our hairs are counted!
Jesus said in Luke 12:6-7, “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.”
God IS faithful.
He’s patient and He always has our best interest at heart.
Our job, as we pray, is to trust , even when we don’t see “motion” or “action.”
We are to sit and wait.
We don’t need to be discouraged, but praise God through the waiting.
Let’s get excited!
He’s doing something really amazing and His timing is impeccable.
I write of this often and it never ceases to amaze me.
I never get tired of talking about it.
The grace and incomparable love of our Heavenly Father is something to be awed.
That our God is faithful to answer; faithful to want the best for us; and faithful to hear our prayers.
Nothing short of amazing.
Today, as you pray, acknowledge God’s plan, His will, and His timing.
Ask Him to help you praise Him even through the wait, and trust in His faithfulness.

I love all of your post, but I really like the ones about God’s timing and plans for our lives. Been struggling in that department here lately. I know God has a plan for my life, and I pray daily that it includes a job in the medical field. Keep up the great work!
Thank you, Ashley! He definitely has unique plans for each of us. Remember the promise of Jeremiah 29:11 — For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare[a] and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Claim that promise! It’s part of your inheritance as the daughter of the King!
