PRAYER PROMPT ••• It’s common knowledge that throughout the day, the sunflower turns its face toward the sun.
Hence, it’s name.
And in that action, there’s a lot we can learn from a sunflower.
Just as a sunflower is “focused” on the light, so should we be focused on the light of Jesus.
When we allow ourselves to be distracted by the world, we find ourselves in darkness or struggling.
But with Jesus, we draw strength, encouragement, direction, comfort, and help.
As the sunflower spends its day following the sun, let us spend our days following the Son.
Today, as you pray, thank God for the illustrations He gives us, even through nature, on how to live a life strong in faith.
Pray you will keep your eyes on Jesus and that He will help you stay focused, and strong enough to fight temptations that threaten to distract you.
NOTE: Feel free to comment, but these prayer prompts are meant to be between you and God. Matthew 6:6 — But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
