PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• There’s a meme that circulates that says “(im)possible” and it attempts to redefine the word from “not possible” to “I’m possible.”
It’s a great concept for empowerment and belief in oneself.
While the theory is good, and I’m all about the benefits of thinking positive (Philippians 4:8) and believing in hopes and dreams…
The truth is that without God, there are some things that ARE impossible for us…
No matter how many creative memes we look at.
So, let’s take it from a different angle this morning.
Whoever created this talked about the “I’m” tucked away in the front.
Let’s get rid of the contraction and spell it out — “I Am.”
The very name of God (Exodus 3:14).
With God, the impossible becomes very possible.
Jesus said in Matthew 19:26, “‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’”
When we surrender to Him, it’s no longer about what possibilities we can do… but it’s about the impossible miracles He can work through us.
We have to place our faith on the all-mighty power of an all-powerful God!
And friends, I have to tell you that the simple acknowledgement of God’s power is, in itself, a liberating and powerful experience.
Today, as you pray, acknowledge God’s power and His ability to do the impossible.
Ask Him to help you focus on that, and embrace it, when things look impossible.
