My Grace-Full Life

6.6.17 Prayer Prompt: Gifts from God

PRAYER PROMPT ••• Last night, I went to sleep in the security of my home, on a bed that is soft, and under blankets that are warm.
When I couldn’t sleep at 3:00 this morning, I went to my kitchen to make a cup of hot tea, then sat in a comfortable recliner in my living room.
I woke up in said recliner to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and after I finish writing this and saying my prayers, I’ll take a hot shower, get ready for work.
I’ll drive to a job I love to do, which provides income for me and my family.
I am a blessed woman.
How often do you stop to count your blessings?
I have my fair share of issues, as does everyone, but when all is said and done, the Lord has provided.
James 1:17a says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,”
While I have a job that pays the electric bill, that job is gift from God!
Today, take a moment to look around you.
Do you have enough to eat?
Do you have clothes to wear?
Don’t focus on what you want, but focus on your needs… are your needs covered?
Today, as you pray, thank God for His gifts.
Take a moment to praise Him for all He provides and appreciate His generous nature.
NOTE: Feel free to comment, but these prayer prompts are meant to be between you and God. Matthew 6:6 — But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
