PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• Psalm 121 is a beautiful tribute to God’s ever-watchful presence in our lives.
Verse 1-2 says, “I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!”
We are so self-reliant and sometimes, we forget where to credit our success and accomplishments.
It’s a good thing to be reminded of Who truly has our back.
We weren’t designed to do life alone; we were made to go through it with our Heavenly Redeemer.
2 Corinthians 3:5 says, “It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God.”
And Jesus reminded us of this truth in one of His “I Am” statements—“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)
Today, as you pray, thank God that we AREN’T expected to do it alone.
Thank Him that He is the very source of any and all help you’ll ever need.
And ask the Holy Spirit, our constant Companion, Helper, and Advocate, to help you lean on Him and His strength, rather than your own.
