PRAYER PROMPT ••• Before Paul Walker died, he was recoded as saying, “The people I don’t understand are atheists. I go surfing and snow boarding and I’m always around nature. I look at everything and think, ‘Who couldn’t believe there’s a God? Is all this a mistake?’ It just blows me away.”
I couldn’t agree with him more.
Every time I look outside, I’m amazed by the creativity of God.
However, there are people who are close to my heart who are atheists.
I have spent so much time in prayer for them, praying for God to help them open their eyes to the truth that is right in front of them in nature.
Because God wants them to come to Him too.
Our Creator didn’t make us to reject Him; He made us to have a lasting relationship with Him that would stretch into eternity (John 6:40; Revelation 3:20).
He made us to give us life and to give it abundantly (John 10:10).
Too much of what’s happened in our history is well-documented through scripture to be ignored!
The Bible is real.
God is real.
And for those who think Christians are stupid to believe, I say this — I’d rather live my life for Christ and at the end of it, learn I was wrong than ignore Him and at the end, learn I was even more wrong… and then, find myself in a position too late to correct it.
If I’m wrong now, no harm, no foul.
But I know I’m not wrong.
I know it because I have a relationship with God; I’ve felt Him whisper on my heart as I’ve watched the breeze blow through His creation.
I know it because I’ve felt His presence and I’ve heard Him speak to me through His word.
Today, as you pray, please join me in prayer for those who do not yet acknowledge Him, but need Him.
The Bible promises that one day, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that God is the one true God, Creator of the universe (Romans 14:11).
Pray that the ones you love will bend their knees and speak the truth before it’s too late to live for Jesus.
NOTE: Feel free to comment, but these prayer prompts are meant to be between you and God. Matthew 6:6 — But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
