6.16.17 Prayer Prompt: Sailing

PRAYER PROMPT ••• Life brings with it all kinds of winds.
Sometimes, the peaceful winds give us smooth sailing.
Other times, we’re traveling on choppy, uncertain waters.
Then, of course, some winds put us smack dab in the middle of a storm.
It’s part of life.
We’ve all been through various weathers, but one thing is certain.
I’d rather travel those waters with Jesus than ever go it alone.
Been there, tried that.
It doesn’t work.
You may be able to steer the boat for a bit, or give the illusion you have everything in life under control.
But it won’t last long.
Jesus as the Captain is the only way to sail through life.
It’s easy to sail with Jesus when it’s clear blue skies and a gentle breeze.
But do you trust Him when the waters get rough?
When winds of change come sneaking in and you’re not sure of your direction, do you trust Him to take you where you need to go?
Today, as you pray, tell Jesus you want Him at the wheel.
Let Him know you trust Him to never steer you wrong.
Trust that He will never abandon ship; He will be by your side no matter how fierce the storms may rage.
NOTE: Feel free to comment, but these prayer prompts are meant to be between you and God. Matthew 6:6 — But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
