TODAY’S SIGNATURE VERSE ••• Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Psalm 150:6 ESV)
PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• It feels weird when a series comes to an end. As I was working on it, I put my normal “look for spiritual lessons in everyday situations” on hold. And a lot happens in two weeks! I had a lot of ideas that I want to get to! But honestly, I need to address some lighter Biblical subjects for a couple of days. Those hard questions wiped me out! So today – let’s focus on the best thing to do when we’re tired… when we’re discouraged… when we’re filled with anxiety… when we’re joyful… No matter where we fall in the spectrum of human emotion — our best thing to do is PRAISE GOD.
Psalm 150:6 says, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!” If you are reading this, then you woke up this morning to a new day and have the breath in your lungs to sing and shout His praises! Let Him know that you love Him! Let Him know that you are thankful for another day to serve Him! Let OTHERS know that He is your Lord and Savior!
Today, as you pray, take a deep breath, and don’t worry. Don’t stress. Don’t succumb to the pressures of all that is going wrong in the world and instead, look heavenward. Look to the source of all peace and justice and love. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with a spirit of praise and ask Him to keep it ignited in your heart and soul throughout the day.
