PRAYER PROMPT ••• When you meet your friends for dinner or a cup of coffee, what do you talk about?
I think most of us would agree – we spend time catching up, share what we’ve been doing, and talk about what we’re going to be doing.
Depending on the level of friendship, we may dive deeper with conversation about things that concern us, hurt our feelings, and those things that cause us to lose sleep at night.
But beyond talking about just ourselves, we also ask questions about our friend’s life, what their plans are; we ask what they think and how they feel.
If you were going to meet Jesus for a cup of coffee today, what would you talk to Him about?
Would you ask Him anything about His perspective or His plans?
Would you ask His opinion about your situations or would you ask for His advice?
When the conversation was finished, would you hug Him, thank Him for listening, and promise to touch base again soon?
When you pray today, talk to Jesus like a friend… the very best friend you could ever, or would ever have.
Share a cup of coffee with your Savior and remember – He’s available to talk 24/7.
You’ll never wake Him up or catch Him at a bad time.
NOTE: Feel free to comment, but these prayer prompts are meant to be between you and God. Matthew 6:6 — But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
