My Grace-Full Life

5.25.17 Prayer Prompt: New

PRAYER PROMPT ••• Despite the number of flowery graphics I’ve used on this page, I’m really not much of a flower girl.
I think they are pretty, but I don’t want my husband to spend money on them.
With that said though, I love daisies.
There’s something about the simple white petals with the bright yellow center of a daisy that makes me happy.
The daisy defines fresh innocence and charm.
It’s wholesome and friendly looking.
Every time I see one, I can’t help but think of new beginnings.
Before I read my Bible every morning, that’s what I pray for… I thank God for a new day to read His word, and ask Him to show me something new as I read — something that will strengthen my relationship with Him and help me to grow stronger in my faith.
Isn’t it amazing that God is constantly making things new?
Whether it’s new life or a renewed spirit, God is capable of taking anyone, no matter how tarred, ugly, or shattered their past – and He can make them whole and new.
He can restore us to a fresh outlook and give us a new beginning.
This is a promise found in 2 Corinthians 5:17, which says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
Today, as you pray, thank God for a new opportunity to serve Him.
If you need a renewed mind and spirit, ask Him to give you one.
While we may have to live with the consequences of past sins, we can be new through the belief in Christ Jesus!
NOTE: Feel free to comment, but these prayer prompts are meant to be between you and God. Matthew 6:6 — But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
