5.22.17 Prayer Prompt: Healing

PRAYER PROMPT ••• One of my favorite stories from the Bible is of the woman who was healed simply because she touched the hem of Jesus (Luke 8:43-48).
Her faith was so great!
What a tremendous gift of confidence in the healing powers of Jesus!
That we would all have that same faith of Jesus when we pray!
I was thinking of this woman last night because today, someone very special to me is having surgery.
Since my friend’s diagnosis, she’s been a model of faith, strength, and perseverance.
As she goes to the hospital today, surrounded by her husband and family, I know God’s granted her an amazing support team.
But moreover, our great Creator is also there for her.
Today, I’m thinking of my friend, but she’s hardly the only one.
Around the world, countless people are preparing for surgery, facing disease and illness.
Today, I pray for our doctors and nurses who are trained to administer to the sick with kindness and compassion.
I pray God will guide the hands of surgeons as they work on their patients.
Will you join me?
Whether you know someone specifically or want to offer up a general prayer for those who have health issues, today, as you pray, ask God to work in and through the hands of medical teams.
Ask Him to offer comfort to those who are sick and ask Him to heal those who need healing.
NOTE: Feel free to comment, but these prayer prompts are meant to be between you and God. Matthew 6:6 — But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
