5.19.17 Prayer Prompt: Hidden Sin

PRAYER PROMPT ••• Sometimes, when I listen to someone talk about whatever is bothering them, I can’t help but think, “Are you really this clueless about how you create the very problems you’re complaining about??”
I think most of us have a few of those people in our lives… those who are oblivious to how their own actions make their situations more difficult.
Obviously, the longer we know someone, and the better we know them, the more we can identify those stumbling blocks they seem to be unaware of…
But the truth is – we’re all like that.
We all have things about ourselves that we can’t see, but everyone around us can.
Sometimes, that thing (those things) is sin we don’t even realize we have.
These are things that are unintentionally separating us from God.
Isaiah 59:2 says, “but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.”
Today as you pray, ask Him to show you the sin in your life that you may not even be aware of… sin that may be holding you back from God’s plan for your life, and closer friendship with Him.
NOTE: Feel free to comment, but these prayer prompts are meant to be between you and God. Matthew 6:6 — But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
