4.5.19 Praise & Prayer Prompt: When Jesus Prayed For You

PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• In John 17:20, Jesus said a prayer for you.
He said, “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message.”
If you have believed in Jesus—this is you.
Isn’t that amazing?!?!
This prayer emphasizes that we are in this world, but we aren’t a part of it (verse 16).
In verse 15, Jesus prayed for your protection.
He prayed for us to be united in verse 23.
He prayed for us to see God’s glory in verse 24.
That’s incredible!!!
Generations before you were born, Jesus thought of you and prayed for you.
Humbled much?!?!
And His prayer for you included John 17:17, which says, “Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.”
We tend to think of the word “holy,” as perfect.
But it means set apart.
As Christians, we live by God’s standards, not mankind’s.
And since God’s truth is designed to make us Holy, we need to be fully invested in it.
I’ve said this many times before, but if you only read devotions and don’t pick up the Word of God, please put everything down and go read your Bible.
Nothing written is ever more important than the holy word of God.
Let God teach you His truth from His ultimate love letter to you.
A love so great that Jesus remembered you in prayer 2000 years ago.
Today, as you pray, thank Jesus for thinking of you and including you in His prayer.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you live holy and set apart according to the truth of the Holy Bible.
