PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• Good morning!
It’s crazy-early-o’clock and I’m headed out the door at 6 for a prayer breakfast this morning.
I never sleep well when I need to get up way earlier than normal, and last night was no exception.
So with that said, my coffee maker doesn’t seem big enough today.
But this is a special event held during the same week as the National Day of Prayer (which is on Thursday).
Organizations in our community organize this prayer breakfast on a bit of a different timeline, but that’s okay.
I don’t know what this year’s theme or topic will be, but what I do know is that the whole thing boils down to faith—the faith journey you and I walk each day.
The faith that is rooted in our hearts that Jesus is the Son of God and Savior of the world.
In Romans 10:10 it says, “For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
And in Psalm 119:105, it says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
With that faith in Christ and the word of God, we have the resources we need to walk a journey of faith.
The walk is never easy but the destination is going to be better than anything our feeble minds can imagine.
Today, as you pray, thank Jesus for modeling what it means to walk by faith.
Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your daily faith journey so that throughout the trip, you can feel closer to Jesus with every step you take.
