4.3.17 Prayer Prompt: Be Thankful for Answered Prayer

PRAYER PROMPT ••• God is faithful to answer prayer.
Sometimes the answer is yes.
Sometimes it is no.
Sometimes it is wait.
But God always answers us!
Two verses I regularly recite in prayer are 1) “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. (1 John 5:14) and 2) “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” (James 5:16b).
Our job is to wait on His perfect timing!
This morning, thank God for answered prayers — the prayers He’s answered in the past and the prayers He is faithful to answer in the future.
Thank Him for His yes’s, but also thank Him for His no’s and His wait’s.
Because the no’s and wait’s mean there is another plan for our lives.
We need to trust that our all-knowing Creator already has it worked out for our good, as promised in Romans 8:28 and 32, “28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?”
NOTE: Feel free to comment, but these prayer prompts are meant to be between you and God. Matthew 6:6 — But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
