4.26.17 Prayer Prompt: Pray Through Difficult Times

PRAYER PROMPT ••• Back in March, a local pastor in our community had a freak accident.
Debbie fell and in addition to a broken arm, her leg bone was literally jammed up into her pelvic cavity.
Three weeks after her accident, her mother died unexpectedly.
To say Debbie was beaten down is no understatement.
However, she doesn’t draw her strength from herself — she draws it from God the Father.
Debbie recently posted this on Facebook, “For the rest of my days, hell will regret recent attacks on my life. For you see, the very things hell thought would bring distance between me and God have only pressed us closer. The very things hell thought would leave me embittered are only making me more emboldened in my Faith. Hell went for the jugular vein but has actually choked himself.”
WOW.
This woman is a POWERHOUSE OF FAITH with a TREMENDOUS heart for God.
If this isn’t courage in the face of all Satan’s done to try to bring her down, I don’t know what is.
In life — we all have challenges and obstacles.
Some days, more than others.
Sometimes, it even feels like there’s a spiritual game of Dodgeball game going on — with all the balls aimed straight at you!
Whatever challenges you face, I encourage you to pray to God.
Grow closer to Him; don’t stop praying during times of adversity.
He’s big enough to handle your load.
Give it to Him and let Him carry them.
Be encouraged, as I’ve been, from the example of a woman who has been knocked down, but refuses to stay down… because she knows that Jesus is holding her up!
NOTE: Feel free to comment, but these prayer prompts are meant to be between you and God. Matthew 6:6 — But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
