PRAYER PROMPT ••• Some may see this graphic as a poor choice for the quote is accompanies.
“A flower background with, ‘Prayer is where the action is?’ Yeah – this girl has run out of ideas.”
But let me explain… not all action is demonstrated by something big.
Small actions take place all around us, especially this time of year.
Anyone start a garden from seed?
The small changes take place under the soil, where we can’t see them, and before long – the series of small actions result into something beautiful or powerful: new growth.
That’s the challenge I put before you.
When you say your prayers, ask God to help you look for the small actions.
After all, God doesn’t always answer prayers with thunderbolts and lightening.
In fact, throughout the Bible, we see that God likes to use the unextraordinary and unexpected… small details that may slip by without notice.
Those small actions may seem inconsequential now, but being aware of them may help you see their role in the big picture later on, giving you an opportunity to worship God for His power, even in the small actions.
NOTE: Feel free to comment, but these prayer prompts are meant to be between you and God. Matthew 6:6 — But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
