4.13.19 Praise & Prayer Prompt: An Opportunity to Worship

PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• Greeting from Roanoke, VA!
I drove up here yesterday with a friend from church to attend a Living Proof Conference with Beth Moore.
It’s been amazing and I look forward to today.
There are over 4000 women at this event.
Last night during the praise and worship portion of the service, I got a tiny, itty-bitty taste of what heaven is going to be like as thousands of voices were raised in songs to praise Jesus.
Psalms 95:6 says, “Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.”
We take this experience for granted.
What a privilege to worship Jesus!
Obviously, worship can be and often is a private matter.
But it’s a collective group experience too.
And yet, we rush through it so we can hurry up to our to-do list or beat the crowds at Sunday lunch.
Whether you’re at a Christian conference or you wait until tomorrow at church — savor the blessing of the Psalmist’s words, “Come, let us worship…”
Embrace those.
It isn’t an individual call to action, but it’s a collective opportunity for the bride of Christ, His church!
Today, as you pray, thank Jesus for being worthy of all our praise.
Thank God for being our Creator!
And ask the Holy Spirit to help you focus on the benefits and blessings of the worship experience.
