3.16.19 Praise & Prayer Prompt: Strength Through Christ

PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• “I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
Classic.
It’s a favorite verse for many.
It can apply to anything.
From marriage or parenting struggles…
To difficult jobs…
To weight loss or health concerns…
To cleaning the house (which is where I am claiming today!)
But if we take a closer look at this verse, let’s really soak in the words and what they mean.
It is a victory verse.
Nothing is impossible.
With one caveat.
Only through Jesus can the impossible become possible.
It’s only through Jesus that we can experience divine strength.
And it’s not about physical strength.
It’s strength of endurance when we’re too tired to go on.
It’s strength of patience when we are running out of it.
It’s strength of kindness in the face of rudeness.
It’s strength of compassion to those who are different.
It’s strength of courage when we are scared.
It’s strength of encouragement when we feel discouraged.
Jesus gives us everything we need when we let Him work through us.
Today, as you pray, thank Him for all the ways in which He strengthens you.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you lean on that truth every time you need it.
