PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• Have you ever had a broken clock in your house?
No matter how long you procrastinated replacing the batteries, the clock was right twice a day.
When it comes to people, so many are walking around broken, but because they do the right thing with some degree of frequency, they are hoping that will count at the end of their lives.
They’re planning to meet Peter at the Pearly Gates and hopeful their good works outweigh their bad.
Then maybe, he’ll open the gates of Heaven to let them in.
It doesn’t work that way.
The Bible is clear that there’s one way to heaven (refer to Tuesday’s post).
Mark 13:32-33 says, “Now concerning that day or hour no one knows—neither the angels in heaven nor the Son—but only the Father. ‘Watch! Be alert! For you don’t know when the time is coming.’”
You can really read the urgency in Jesus’ words, can’t you?
The people who are hopeful that they can skootch into Heaven are playing such a dangerous game!
Jesus has offered to give all who believe in Him a guarantee, but they have to stop procrastinating and make a change.
For those who have accepted Christ—surely it is obvious that time is running short.
“The signs of the times” is upon us.
There should be an increased sense of urgency in all of us to share the Gospel with others.
When Jesus comes to rapture His church, I cannot imagine the terror and heartbreak of those who will be left behind.
I know I’m going with Jesus and yet the idea still terrifies me.
It’s for that reason, I get a little miffed when people pray for Jesus to hurry up and return.
I get where they are coming from, but there are so many broken souls.
I am praying for Him to wait and give our world another revival so more people can go with Jesus.
Time is short.
The time to share the Gospel is now.
The time to accept Jesus as Savior is now.
Today, as you pray, thank God for His continued patience.
Ask the Holy Spirit to bring revival to our homes, neighborhoods, cities, states, countries, and world.
Ask Him to move people—including you—to speak up and share about Jesus.
