4.1.19 Praise & Prayer Prompt: God’s Glory

PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• One of the biggest challenges nonbelievers have with Christianity is reconciling that a good and all-powerful God allows suffering and pain.

Even Christians struggle with it.

It truly is a matter of faith and trust.

It’s a choice to recognize God’s sovereignty and understand that there’s a bigger picture that He alone can see.

When we face seasons of hardship and sadness, it’s something we have to keep reminding ourselves.

But all this pain, loss, hurt, grief — all these things we don’t understand the why’s behind — He has a purpose and a plan.

In Romans 8:18, the Apostle Paul wrote, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”

When we meet the glory of God one day and stand in the presence of our Savior Jesus Christ, it’s going to be so magnificent, the hardships we’ve faced are going to pale and be insignificant.

We are going to be so overwhelmed by the joy of being face-to-face with the King of Kings!

Our wildest imaginations cannot do that moment justice.

The perfection and glory we will see will overshadow everything.

And we’ll understand better than ever that God has truly been in control this whole time.

We will finally appreciate the truth of Romans 8:28, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

Today, as you pray, thank God for His glory.

Though we haven’t seen it yet, acknowledge that His majesty is more than we can fathom.

Ask the Holy Spirit to remind you of this verse when you’re tempted to question His goodness and greatness.

Ask Him to give you wisdom and patience for whatever challenges you face and to know that in the end, it will all be worth it.
