PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• There are seasons in our life when we start over…
New houses, new neighborhoods, new jobs, new family members…
“New” takes on a lot of different forms.
But the most important start over experience is when we stop living for ourselves and start living for Christ.
As you all know, I’m a former prodigal.
I know what it is to walk away from the will of God and I am grateful beyond words that our Heavenly Father allowed me to come back home.
His grace is bigger than we can imagine.
And as long as we draw breath, He gives us a new chance at grace and redemption.
Ephesians 1:7-8 says, “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight…”
Grace that He lavishes on us.
That’s not a mere spoonful because He needs to make sure He has enough to go around…
Lavish means unsparingly, abundant, and generous!
For each of us.
Isn’t that amazing?
And as we grow closer to Him, we realize His grace isn’t just for starting over.
He continues to pile on the grace throughout our life journey.
As generous as He is with grace now, can you imagine what it will be like in heaven?!
I can’t even wrap my brain around it.
Today, as you pray, thank God the Father for His extraordinary grace.
Thank Him for allowing you to start over with Him, right where you are.
Thank Him that you don’t have to be perfect, but only willing and obedient to Him through faith.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you if you need to start over.
Ask Him to encourage your heart and be willing to trust that God’s abundant grace is meant for you too.
