10.21.18 Praise & Prayer Prompt: Great Is Thy Faithfulness

PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• My first thought this morning was how much I dread today.

Today is my Mamo’s funeral.

And it feels so wrong to even type that out.

But as I laid in bed trying to muster the courage to get up and face this day, the Lord reminded me of Lamentations 3:22-23, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

For generations, this verse has brought God’s peace and comfort.

Today, I will cry.

Tomorrow, I will cry.

Probably for weeks and months and throughout the years to come… there will be tears.

Because Friends, I had an exceptionally special grandmother.

I had exceptionally special grandparents…

But every day that I put my trust in the Lord, He will prove Himself trustworthy.

He is dependable.

And He is merciful.

And today is a new day.

It’s a day the Lord has made.

And it’s a day that I will stand with my family and remember a woman we have loved our whole lives…

And I will rejoice and be glad that she is with Jesus.

Today, as you pray, thank Him for being faithful.

Even on difficult days, He is worthy of our praise and He promises that we are never alone.

  1. Beautiful words….my sympathies go out to you, it is never easy to lose someone you love, and it is difficult to say words that will comfort. Know that you are loved and this pain will also pass……you will be okay…..you can do anything with the Lord by your side. God bless.
