7.16.18 Praise & Prayer Prompt: Jesus’ Promise

PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• What did you think of today’s supporting graphic?

Of all the MGFL graphics I’ve designed, this one may have the most powerful message and I’m grateful to the Holy Spirit for the inspiration.

I know you’re thinking, “Denise, go drink another cup of coffee; you clearly aren’t awake yet.”

I’ll go for another cup of coffee, but I’m wide awake.

I promise.

Look again.

Do you see it?

Some of my favorite words from Jesus are on that graphic.

You may have to zoom in to see it, but the verse is there, even if you don’t see it at first glance.

In Matthew 29:20b, Jesus said, “And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

We obviously don’t see Jesus.

We have to take this promise on faith, as much as we accept the truth of the earth’s gravitational pull and the air we breathe.

All invisible to us, but there.

Why is it so easy to accept the presence of gravity and air, but so hard to accept that Jesus is with us?

He is constant and has been since before time existed.

No matter where we go, if we’ve accepted His gift of salvation, Jesus is always with us.

We don’t have to worry about facing challenges alone because He has guaranteed His presence in our lives.

Don’t you just love that He prefaced it with “And be sure of this…”?

It adds such a strong voice of authority and commitment to His words!

Y’all, I’m going to keep this short today, but as you go about on this Monday, trust that Jesus is walking with you.

Today, as you pray, give praise to Jesus for His promise.

Thank Him for giving us the same guarantee that was offered to Jacob (Genesis 28:15), Joshua (Joshua 1:9), and Isaiah (Isaiah 41:10) (to name a few!)

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you trust in that promise, no matter what day of the week, and even on Mondays…

Even if it turns out to the the Mondayest of Mondays, know that Jesus is with you.
