2.26.19 Praise & Prayer Prompt: God’s Plan For You

PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• Ephesians 2:10 keeps coming up in my study time and is quickly rising toward the top of my list of favorite verses.
It says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
While we aren’t saved by our good works, we are called to do good things as a reflection of our faith and in gratitude for what God has done for us.
Doing good things demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.
But what I love about this verse is that God has prepared it all.
The schedule-making, chronic list-maker in me can rest assured that God has already outlined what He wants me to do, and designated my role in making those things happen!
My responsibility is to trust in the Holy Spirit’s guidance, direction, and timing!
I need to be willing and obedient so that God can use me where He wants me.
Doesn’t it feel humbling to consider this truth: not only did God knit you together from the inside out (Psalm 139:13-16), but He created a plan that is unique to each of us?
Today, as you pray, thank God for His personal investment in you.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you be flexible and willing to whatever task or assignment God has given you.
