2.1.18 Prayer Prompt: The Lord Fights For Us

PRAYER PROMPT ••• Today’s Prayer Prompt is a great example of the Holy Spirit’s power, because y’all — I’m feeling rough.
These posts are all Him anyway, but today I’m especially aware of it.
I mentioned yesterday that I was going to the doctor and I’m being treated for the flu.
As soon as this is posted, I’m going back to sleep.
This morning, my Bible reading was about the Israelites escape from Egypt.
The parting of the Red Sea is a miracle I would have loved to have seen.
But this verse jumped out at me: Exodus 14:14.
It says, “The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”
This is as true today as it was way back when Moses said it.
The Lord continues to protect us and defend us.
We may not be fleeing an Egyptian army, and His protection may not be as dramatic as a pillar of fire or the parting of hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of gallons of water.
But He’s there.
As Paul wrote in Romans 8:31, “What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?”
Today, as you pray, thank God for always protecting you.
Thank Jesus for being your Savior.
And thank the Holy Spirit for being with you always.
On a personal note – would you please pray that I will be up and about sooner, rather than later?
I really hate being sick and I appreciate your prayers!!!
