PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• As 2018 begins to wind down, I’ve been thinking a lot about “Timing.”
It was my 2018 word of the year.
I’ve spent a lot of time this year reflecting on God’s timing and trying to understand it.
I haven’t perfected the lesson, but I don’t think God expected me to…
I think the goal was for me to accept His timing, I wasn’t required to understand it.
And as I continue to wait for God to answer my most prayed for prayer, I am trusting Him throughout the wait.
Lamentations 3:25 says, “The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.”
While there have been some definite low points in my year, I’ve embraced the truth of this verse.
Even in the deepest valleys of 2018, there was never a time when was I alone.
God is with me always, just as He is for anyone who believes in Jesus and seeks Him.
And despite some heavy heartaches and tremendous losses, God has been good to me as I’ve waited for Him and sought Him out.
As I continue to wait on His timing, I’m looking forward to my new word (which I’ll share on January 1st) and the new lessons God is going to teach me.
Today, as you pray, thank God for His goodness, and thank Him that because of the redeeming blood of Jesus, we never have to be alone.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you be diligent in seeking God’s will above your own, trusting Him in the timing of all things, no matter what season you’re facing.
