12.1.18 Praise & Prayer Prompt: Replenished Souls

PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• Jeremiah 31:25 says, “For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”
These words of the Lord being such comfort, don’t they?
We know Jesus told us to let Him carry our burdens and He will give us rest (Matthew 11:28-30).
But the word I love in this passage of Jeremiah is “replenish.”
It’s not just rest, but a promise to restock our depleted energy and to make us full again.
And I don’t know about y’all, but I get super-excited when I replenish a kitchen pantry, so can you imagine how excited it makes me to know that the God Who created the whole world wants to replenish my soul?!
Today, as you pray, ponder the word replenish and thank God that He already knows the very things that need to be replenished in your heart.
Thank Jesus for His willingness to give you rest and carry your heavy loads, knowing that with Him, your weary soul will be rejuvenated.
