PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• Last night, I flipped through Facebook and saw a post from comedian Jim Gaffigan that said, “I just wish someone would tell me to vote tomorrow…”
I laughed when I read it because I understood his tongue-in-cheek reference to all the voting reminders for today’s election.
And while it’s important to vote, there’s something far more important that we need to be reminding others about…
Jesus is coming.
In our politically-correct culture, where everyone is so hyper-sensitive to the slightest perceived criticism, it feels risky to share the Gospel.
But just as the saying goes, “We’re running the risk of not offending someone straight to hell.”
We can’t make people choose Christ as their Savior… but we can do our part to make sure they know their options.
Mark 16:15 says, “And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.’”
We have a Jesus-assigned responsibility to share Him with others!
I’m not talking about preaching on street corners, but a simple mention of going to church, or offer to pray, can go a long way to making others aware of our faith.
Believe me, I know it feels awkward at first…
But Jesus is worth talking about.
He died for Every. Single. Person. Who. Ever. Lived.
It’s not our responsibility to decide whether or not someone else would be interested in hearing about Jesus…
It’s our job as Christians is to make sure others know the gift of salvation is available to them.
Today, as you pray, ask the Holy Spirit to embolden your heart so that you can freely discuss your relationship with Jesus with others.
And ask Him to help you be a strong witness for Christ so that others will see Him through the life you live.
